This Breathwork Training and Certification Program is for anyone who wants to apply Breath Awareness and Conscious Breathing as a tool for health, growth and change in spirit, mind and body. The training can be taken simply as an advanced training for one’s own personal development. And health professionals, yoga instructors, coaches and counselors who want to integrate breathwork into their existing practice.
This course is based on the original Breathwork Training offered by The Growth Center, Inc., and the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 1976. It meets the International standards laid out by One Sky International Breathwork Association (established 1990), Leonard Orr’s Rebirthing Breathwork International (RBI); and it exceeds the minimum training standards recommended by the International Breathwork Foundation (IBF) and the International Global Professional Breathwork Alliance (GPBA).
The focus is on basic and advanced breathwork practice, breathing assessments and intervention techniques, breathing development exercises, deep processing, spiritual psychology, sacred relationships, group dynamics, specific applications in bodywork, counselling and psychotherapy, athletic and artistic performance, breathwork for various medical conditions, and self-improvement as a business. The practice of facilitating individual breathwork sessions is explored in great depth and detail, to assure that the participant gains all the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to establish an effective and successful personal or professional breathwork practice.

You will receive all the knowledge and skills, theory and practice, and all-around experience needed to become a world-class Breathworker. You’ll synthesize and integrate a number of ancient and modern breath and breathing styles, schools, methods, and processes. You’ll create and invent your own unique exercises, techniques and meditations, while focusing on the basics, and building upon the tried and true fundamentals. You will move ahead on your path at your own rate in a very informal manner, while at the same time formally documenting all the steps and training hours you complete.
Your role as a breathworker is one of breath coach, breathing guide, facilitator, practitioner, change agent, teacher, healer, counselor. Your work with others will involve the same steps you take in your own personal growth process: discovery, exploration, development, and mastery.
